IT Job Title: System Engineer
Indepth knowledge in Win/Unix SysAdimin, LAN/WAN, System/Network Security.
Knowledge in DBA activities and Shell Scripting.
Individual works on Adminstering and maintaining windows and Unix systems to achieve optimum.
Performance response times and resiliency/ fault tolerance that is required to ensure high.
Managing Microsoft and Unix platforms in the Infrastructure
Installing and maintaining Windows/Unix Servers and core services.
Applying Operating System/Data base patches and upgrades as necessary
Monitoring, tracking/tuning performance and preparing status reports on overall system performance.
Performing capacity planning including tracking historical usage, monitoring current usage, projecting future resource usage, assessing overall resource demands.
Maintaining documentation pertaining to operating system/Data base configuration and system operating procedures.
Recommending and planning platform system, CPU, memory and disk upgrades.
Assisting IT Data Communications staff with problem identification and resolution related to system communication issues.
Assisting application teams for troubleshooting and implementing changes
